Our Mission

Our Mission as a Church was given to us by Christ before he ascended to the Father. It is found in the "Great Commission". There are two main points of this Commission that dictate everything we do;

Mark 16:5, Romans 1:16, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
We are to preach the Gospel to all peoples. God calls us to share the "good news" of Christ to the world. It is the Fathers will that each person would see Him as a loving God who sent His Son to die for our sins so that we could have a life giving relationship with Him ! God wants us to make Himself known. We are called to be ambassadors of Christ and God's messengers of His loving reconciliation .

Matthew 28:19-20
God not only wants us to make Him known, but He also desires that we know Him in a personal, life changing way. Our goal is to see every believer nurtured in faith and trained to use their abilities and giftings to their furthest extent for the Lord! A disciple is someone who learns the character of God, practices the presence of God, and displays the love and power of God.

Our Vision;

To present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that is shows non-Christians the plan of salvation and assist them into making a decision to turn away from their sin and make a commitment to live for God;
-Evangelism converts into Disciples
-Edification of Disciples into mature, fruitful leaders
-Equipping and reaching others for Christ
-Extension and teach others for Christ

What a Foursquare Church Believes;

God;
We believe God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13 :14).

The Bible;
We believe the Bible is God-inspired and infallible (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).

The Fall of Man;
We believe that man and woman were created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience, fell from perfection (Romans 5:12).

Salvation and Forgiveness;
We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing the pardon of all who believe in Him (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).

Salvation Through Grace;
We believe that we have no righteousness of our own and are able to come to God only on the basis of the righteousness of Christ (Ephesians 2 :8).

Repentance and Acceptance;
We believe that upon sincere repentance, and a whole-hearted acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God (I John 1:9).

The New Birth;
We believe that a very real change takes place in our heart and life at the moment of salvation (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20).

Daily Christian Life;
We believe that it is the will of God that we devote ourselves to Him daily, growing constantly in the faith (Hebrews 6:1).

Baptism and Communion;
We believe that baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward decision and transformation (Matt. 28:19). We believe in the commemoration of the Lord's Supper by the symbolical use of the bread and juice of the vine (1 Corinthians 11:24, 25).

Baptism of the Holy Spirit;
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers the believer to obey God and live beyond our natural abilities; and that He fills the believer in the same way as described in the Bible (Acts 2:4). -The Spirit-filled Life We believe that it is the will of God that we conduct ourselves as empowered by the Holy Spirit and instructed by God's word (Ephesians 4:30-32).

The Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit;
We believe that the Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts upon the Christian; and that the result of leading a Spirit-filled life is increasing contentment, fulfillment, and discipline (I Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22).

Moderation;
We believe that the experience and daily walk of the believer should never lead him into extremes of fanaticism (Philippians 4:5).

Divine Healing;
We believe that divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith (James 5:14-16).

The Second Coming of Christ;
We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17).

Church Relationship;
We believe it is our benefit to identify ourselves with the physical church of Christ (Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25).

Civil Government;
We believe that rulers should be upheld at all times except in issues opposed to the will of God as revealed in the Bible (Romans 13 :1-5).

The Final Judgment;
We believe that all shall stand some day before the judgment seat of God; and there receive eternal life or death (2 Corinthians 5:10).

Heaven;
We believe that heaven is the glorious eternal home of those who have put their trust in Jesus (John 14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17).

Hell;
We believe that Hell is the place of eternal torment for all who reject Christ as the Savior (Revelation 20:10,15).

Evangelism;
We believe that bringing people to Jesus is the most important responsibility of the Church (James 5 :20).

Tithes and Offering;
We believe that the method prescribed by God for the support and spread of His cause is by giving of tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7).

Did you know . . . The term "Foursquare" stands for the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ as the:
- Savior (Romans 10:9)
- Baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16)
- Healer (1 Peter 2:24)
- Coming King (Acts 1:1 1 )
